Independence Seaport Museum
Located in Penn's Landing just beside the Delaware River, this museum is dedicated to the maritime history of the Philadelphia area. The exhibits focus on issues relating to sea trading, submersible vessiles, shipbuilding, and other events relating to the Port of Philadelphia. Through out the many different interactive exhibits you can find model-size and full-size ships that you can explore and learn about the long and arduous task of building a ship of the caliber of a United States warship or submarine.
