FunDay Eco Tours
Florida has a rich biological heritage, and a unique variety of species and eco-systems that give it a world renowned bio-diversity… Imagine walking on the floor of an ancient ocean, see endangered gopher tortoises, or cruise a nationally significant estuary, filled with over 5,000 species of birds, plants, and animals. Or explore the nation’s only sea turtle nesting refuge in route to the first federal preserve ever set up by Teddy Roosevelt (Pelican Island). Conceptualize the spectacle of a hundred thousand birds, on a broad flat expanse of natural salt marsh, with hammocks of palms and slash pines on this premier birding and wildlife habitat - the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Consider the reinforcing, and educational effect of boarding Coast Guard approved airboats, driven by certified captains, that will take your group out into the freshwater eco-system of the St. John’s River and a magnificent Bald Cypress Swamp. The experiences will be reminiscent of what Florida was like thousands of years ago when the indigenous Ais Indians inhabited the area.

Crystal River and Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park
The constant warm waters of the Crystal River serves as a year-round home to the West Indian Manatee as there multiple springs that help make this an ideal habitat for the ‘sea cow’. This also allows for the perfect opportunity for snorkeling encounters with these gentile giants throughout the year. Even if you are new to snorkeling, you’ll thrill at the experience you’ll get as you interact with these very docile and friendly creatures under the guidance of your Coast Guard licensed captain and tour guide. This experience affords you wildlife education, water conservation, and Manatee education.

Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is a showcase for Florida Wildlife. It offers visitors an excellent opportunity to observe native animals, birds and plants in their natural setting. Walk along a naturally beautiful boardwalk and view many Florida species such as cougars, black bear, white-tailed deer, bobcats, American alligators, American crocodiles, and river otters and fox. Many varieties of birds, from colorful wood ducks, and flamingos to birds of prey, herons and egrets, also make Homosassa Springs their home. Informative educational programs are offered on West Indian manatees and more. Visitors can see West Indian manatees every day of the year from the park's underwater observatory in the main spring.

Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex & U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame
The gateway to space exploration for the last 50 years provides the perfect setting to understand the technology required to launch mankind into space. Guided tours provide an up-close view of the giant structures that make up the world’s largest launch facility. You’ll dine with an astronaut and ask questions about his/her experience traveling into space. The Student Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) immerses you into a mission simulation and hands-on space activities. You’ll engage in space exploration briefings, hands-on training, motion-based simulators and a full-scale space shuttle mission simulation!

Disney Youth Education Series
Disney Youth Education Series sparks a passion for learning through enrichment, inspiration, and pure fun. Taking students on curriculum-based, academic journeys through the scientific, cultural, creative and natural aspects of the Walt Disney World® Resort, Disney Y.E.S. adventures offer students real-world learning inside- and behind-the-scenes of the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks and provide the kind of newfound insights, skills, and knowledge that opens eyes and changes lives.

Disney Y.E.S. offers more than 20 curriculum-based programs that examine and explore the scientific, cultural, creative, and natural exhibits of the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. Specially trained Walt Disney World® Resort facilitators use a captivating mixture of thought-provoking information, hands-on experiences, and fun to involve students in the learning process.
